Love On A Platter

When you drove up
wearing that crazy
White Sports Coat
and a Pink Carnation
I nearly jumped out
of my Blue Suede Shoes
Twisting my way
into your Deep Purple Heart.

Soon all thoughts
of Peggy Sue and Corena
were Gone
as we became
Two Silhouettes on the Shade.

April Love bloomed
in the Heart of my Hearts and
before the Ebb Tide had passed,
along with The Twelfth of Never,
Goodness gracious Great Balls Afire,
Will you be my Party Girl?, you exclaimed.

Oh, Don't Think Twice, It's All Right!' I replied.
I would Never leave you in Heartbreak Hotel
since I'm the Brown Eyed Girl for you
even If Tomorrow Never Comes,
(As Long as You Love Me).

So, Save the Last Dance For Me
as we Tiptoe Through the Tulips
and you can Lay Lady Lay
til the chickens come home to roost
Forever...
