London Love

Were we to make love,
would it be beneath
moss covered trees,
bottoms pressed against
ancient carved benches,
stonewalled from the Thames?

Would the seeds
of our fertilizing
force daisies
through cracked sidewalks
to count our many comings,
petal by petal,
when we were gone?
