Foxy Claire

An old Ken Kesey hippie
set loose a fox at Macy's.
Discount Night.
Upscale shoppers
rummaging the racks.

Plate glass shattered,
bon bons toppled,
Revlon splattered,
as the crowd
high heeled in terror.

Problem resolved
when near-sighted Claire
plucked foxy up,
rushed to the register
(dazed fox 'round her neck)
and bragged, "I knew I could
find a bargain at Macy's.
