Bleeding Heart

poetry bathetic
oft ridiculed
yet handy ...

what else
drains veins
pulsing with
lost heart's heat
so effectively?

when left loveless,
quatrained blood-letting,
the best.

if in doubt
put away that knife,
tug out your pen
spill it all out.

even Ginsberg's
ghost dare not
deride
lovelorn words
dripping in blood

OsoTbear is an accomplished, prize winning artist and sculptor who has appeared on my pages before. His use of wings and hearts in his work especially fascinates me.
